Rules for 2017 Inn Spirit Award

 Spirit Award:

Inns must have tributes dressed in costumes that correspond to the movie selected by each Inn to be eligible for the Spirit Award.  To increase the odds of winning, Inns are encouraged to have members who are not tributes also in costumes that correspond to the movie selected by each Inn.  Inns will be evaluated for the overall participation by Inns members i.e. the more Inn members in costume the more spirit you have.

Inns will also be evaluated for “spirit” based on opening intro videos/opening performance and for cheering their tributes on during the trivia portion of the evening.  Any noise makers used during the trivia portion of the evening are acceptable but should not interfere with the tributes listening to and responding to questions asked.

Overall “spirit” will be judge by the panel of 2 judges and evaluated for 1. Overall Participation 2. Use of Costumes for Selected Movie 3. Centerpieces – table decorations  4. Creativity of Intro Video/Opening Performance 5. Support for Tributes.

Centerpiece guidelines:

As a component of the Justice Games Spirit Award, Inns are encouraged to create and display a theme-related centerpiece on their competition table.  The Centerpiece should be no larger than 2 ft. in circumference, and cannot (for obvious reasons) emit/contain smoke, fireworks, candles, water elements or anything else that might pose a safety hazard.  The centerpieces may be placed on the Inn’s assigned table at noon on the day of the event.

Centerpieces must incorporate the Inns selected movie and the Oscars.

Those Inns choosing to incorporate centerpieces will have a greater likelihood of winning the Spirit Award.

Centerpieces will also be evaluated by the panel of 2 judges and evaluated for 1. Overall Appearance 2. Creativity/Originality 3. Meets Theme of Justice Games 4.  Incorporates Inns Movie Selection.
